A beautiful finale to the 2026 ballooning season
On October 11 we were able to take off with several balloons from the Lovie in Proven (Poperinge). It was a beautiful finale to the 2026 ballooning season, in case the weather turns in the coming days.
We flew over the centre of Ypres to the Palingbeek, with good visibility.
Views far out to sea
Beyond Ghent
It was so clear that we could see beyond Ghent.

We looked far out to sea and could see boats sailing on the water.
Into France
To the south we saw the slag heaps near Arras and the whole French département of Nord.
A marriage proposal in the sky
One of the flights was even a marriage proposal, with people from Poperinge. It is hard to imagine a better way to close the season.
The 2026 season is done
