Behind every flight stands a team that lives and breathes ballooning. Ballonteam Westhoek is a West Flemish company, passionate about aviation, and a familiar name in ballooning since 1991.
In 1991 the family behind Ballonvaarten Ciers laid the first foundations of what is today Ballonteam Westhoek. The second generation now stands alongside them at the helm, with the very same outlook: small-scale and personal rather than big and anonymous.
What our team stands for
Experienced pilots
Our pilots have been flying for decades and assess the weather before every flight. When in doubt, a flight is postponed.
A ground crew that follows along
Our ground crew follows the balloon by car and takes photos of the set-up and the flight as a keepsake.
Eight balloons, each different
So you fly in a manageable, friendly group, not in an anonymous crowd of twenty or more.
Why passion makes the difference
Passion is in the small things: the forecast we follow closely, the decision not to take off when in doubt, thinking along when you are planning a marriage proposal or a surprise. No rush, no engine noise — just the wind, the landscape and a team that loves what it does.
