Planning an outing with friends, family or colleagues usually means waiting until everyone has confirmed before you dare to book anything. With a balloon ride, that's not necessary. You can simply book, or order a gift voucher, for the number of people you already know for sure, and add the rest later — even on the day of the flight itself.
If you order a gift voucher, you just choose the number of people you know at that moment. Often that's 1 or 2 — the recipient sorts out the rest when the booking is actually made. If you're booking directly yourself and don't yet know exactly how many you'll be, reserve for the core of the group and simply extend it once you know more.

Why we organize it this way
Sometimes someone decides at the very last moment to join after all, or you only hear the news yourself on the morning of the flight. No need to worry: that extra passenger (or passengers) simply pays the pilot directly, on the spot. That way you never have to prepay the full amount for the whole group upfront, and you keep full flexibility over the total number of participants right up to the last moment.
This applies to any group size, from a small party to a full private flight. If you end up booking with 6 people or more, the flight automatically becomes a private flight: the full basket is then exclusive to your group, with nothing extra to request.
